We will be reopening on the 12/04/2021, but it’s looks highly unlikely we will be able to open our shower blocks and toilets.
Therefore, you will need to bring and use your own toilet/shower facilities. Outdoor facilities such as our dish washing areas and chemical waste disposal will remain in operation.
These restrictions will probably remain until 17/05/2021 when hopefully they will by eased by government.

We request that you arrive no earlier than 12pm and that your pitch is vacated by 11am.
We have 4 spacious hard-standing pitches with electric hook-up and 18 grass pitches also with electric hook-up which also accommodate motor homes, caravans and tents.
Our pitch sizes range from:
- Standard tent pitch - Max 4.0m x 4.0m (13.1ft x 13.1ft)
- Large tent pitch - Max 8.0m x 8.0m (26.2ft x 26.2ft)
- Hardstanding - Touring and Motorhome pitch - Max 8.0m x 8.0m (26.2ft x 26.2ft)
- Grass - Touring and motorhome pitch Max 7.0m x 7.0m (23.0ft x 23.0ft)
Our nearest beach is Seascale which is only 10 minutes away. Seascale is a popular seaside village in Cumbria. Miles of sandy beach with views across the sea to the Isle of Man and the Galloway mountains of Scotland.
Dogs are allowed on the beach all year.
Less than 3 miles away you will find Whitehaven which is a small town and port on the coast of Cumbria. Historically a part of Cumberland, it lies equidistant between Cumbria's two largest settlements, Carlisle and Barrow-in-Furness, and is served by the Cumbrian Coast Line and the A595 road.
Whitehaven includes a wealth of shops, restaurants, pubs and views to explore.
At the campsite, many campers still like to stay connected during their stay and for your convenience, we have free WiFi available throughout our campsite.
Yes, we are a dog-friendly site but kindly ask that dogs are kept on leads whilst around the site.
Yes we are a family orientated site and kindly ask that there is no noise after 10.30pm.
Yes, we provide freezers for this purpose which is free of charge.
The Woodlands Tea Room is nestled in a delightful woodland setting next door to the Santon Bridge Gift Shop which is within walking distance from our Campsite. It has a bright yet relaxing atmosphere - a perfect place to meet friends, relax, unwind, and eat good wholesome home-made food.
At the Woodlands Tea Rooms you'll be able to sample tasty home made hot meals, snacks, cakes and pastries. All our pastries, cakes & meats are sourced locally, prepared and cooked on the premises. By using the best of local ingredients our catering team are able to create that old fashioned 'home-made' taste together with a friendly and professional service. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing with decor & music to suit discerning clientele.

The Bridge Inn, just a stroll from the site, is home to the annual ‘Biggest Liar’ competition - we kid you not, it’s a real thing!
The Bridge Inn has an excellent reputation for good food from our hearty Lakeland breakfast to their home cooked meals which are served either in the Dalesman Bar or the Eskdale Room. Both serve set menu as well as ever changing specials on their blackboards.
Portions are large and all made from fresh produce on the premises.
The Dalesman bar has a warm and welcoming atmosphere in which to relax and enjoy a drink or something to eat. The bar has a fine selection of Jenning's real ales and during the cooler days of the year a cosy log fire crackles and dances in the grate. Also dogs are welcome in the bar.
We operate a flexible arrival time policy from 1pm until 9pm, unless you have a breakdown or traffic and such and we will be happy to help with late arrivals.

We advise that all pitches are booked in advance. A deposit of 35% is required to confirm a booking with the balance payable upon arrival.
The deposit may be transferred to another date within the same year - subject to availability and except bank holidays
The Old Post Office/Campsite or Chaple Close accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property
Requests While every effort will be made to meet requirements for particular pitches, no guarantee can be given especially during High Season.
If you would like to cancel for any reason please notify us within 21 days of your arrival date and we will happily transfer your deposit to a later date within 12months except bank holidays
No refunds can be offered when cancelling within 21 days of arrival.
We do recommend you take out holiday insurance.
All bookings must be paid in full 28 days before arrival.
An additional £5 administration fee will be charged for all refunds.
Cancellations must be confirmed in writing, or by email to be effective.
Please note the Deposit is non-refundable.
Money paid prior to cancellation may be transferred to a new booking at our discretion, subject to availability.
